Ms. Groseta grew up on a working cattle ranch with parents who were passionate about learning and being advocates for the beef industry and agriculture in general. Her youth was primarily spent raising and showing market lambs and steers, and starting a small herd of Maine cross cows. If she wasn’t working with my livestock, she was either practicing for swim team or participating in a chapter FFA activity. She was also heavily involved with the FFA throughout her high school career serving as both chapter reporter and president.
While pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences at the University of Arizona Ms. Groseta continued her involvement with Arizona Association FFA by serving as the State FFA Camp Director, doing consulting work for the state FFA office and chairing the student leadership committee for the Arizona FFA CDE day for two consecutive years. As an undergraduate it became apparent that while she enjoyed studying animal science she had a passion for teaching others about food and fiber. Due to this, Ms. Groseta started her Masters in Agricultural Education at the University of Florida which was completed in May 2007.
Being the fourth generation to live and work on her family’s commercial cattle ranch in north central Arizona has influenced both Ms. Groseta's hobbies and passion—she has a small herd of Maine cross cows which she uses to sale steer calves to 4-H and FFA members in Yavapai County. In addition to teaching about agriscience, Ms.Groseta is extremely passionate about the American cattle industry and is involved in her local and state cattlegrower’s affiliates.
Currently Ms. Groseta is preparing for her third year of teaching as one of two agriscience instructors and FFA advisors at BUHS. She teaches Intro to Agriculture, Agricultural Mechanics and Advanced Animal Science.
