Ag Night at Fresno State Basketball Game
(01/15/2013)Fresno State Athletics will be hosting an Ag Night at the Fresno State Basketball Game on Wednesday, February 13th at 7pm. Ticket prices are $7 through the FFA. If you are interested in attending the game please order your tickets online at the following link. There is also a package deal that includes a t-shirt for $15. One dollar from every ticket sold will go back to supporting the San Joaquin Regional FFA scholarships and leadership conferences. If you order a t-shirt, you can see what they look like on the attached page. Print out your receipt and take it to the game to redeem your t-shirts! Greenhand Conference
(09/25/2012)Greenhand Conference Applications are now available. The Greenhand Conference will be held on October 11th in Delano. We are only able to take 30 FFA Freshmen to this year''s conference. Please see your ag teacher for an application and permission slips. All applications, permission slips and deposits are due by Wed. Oct 3rd.
FFA Dodger Game Update
(09/24/2012)The FFA Dodger Game is this Saturday, September 29th. The start time for the game is 6:10pm. The bus will LEAVE at 2pm so students need to arrive by 1:45pm. Make sure to wear your FFA or school t-shirt or you will not be allowed to get on the bus!
Beef Exhibitor Meeting
(09/24/2012)If you are interested in raising/showing beef cattle at the Kings Fair this year, there will be an information meeting on Thursday, Oct 4th at 3:30pm in Miss Henson''s room at Hanford High School (603). If you are not able to attend the meeting, please let Miss Henson know as soon as possible.
Relay For Life
(09/24/2012)Relay For Life donations are due October 3rd to your ag teacher. If you collect $100 you get a free Relay for Life T-Shirt. Relay for Life is October 13-14.

Hanford FFA Spring Chapter Banquet
(05/02/2012)On behalf of the Hanford FFA Chapter, the officer team would like to invite you to our annual Chapter Awards Banquet—Wednesday, May 16, 2012. The program will be held at the Fairgrounds in the Rose Room with doors opening at 6:00 p.m. and the program starting at 6:30 p.m. Come dressed in your Hawaiian attire to go with this year’s theme, “Hanford FFA, Riding the Wave.” The agriculture department would like all FFA members who will be attending the event to be in Official FFA Uniform. In addition to a great meal catered by Cal Clement, we will be recognizing the outstanding achievements of our chapter members. FFA members will be recognized for their participation in winter & spring judging teams, service awards, chapter proficiency awards, and chapter star awards. Our seniors will be recognized and presented with scholarships, outstanding senior awards, and agriculture students with distinction sashes. Concluding the program will be the announcement of the 2012-2013 chapter officer team. The ticket price is only $6.00 per person and will only be available in advance! Please have your tickets purchased by Friday, May 11, 2012 in order to get a seat. FFA members who are attending this event also need to purchase a ticket for the banquet. The tickets can be purchased by your son/daughter in their agriculture class, from Mrs. Soares in the Ag office or online. All checks are made out to Hanford FFA. If paying by credit card, a parent can pay online: www.hjuhsd.k12.ca.us; on left menu select Schools/Staff; select Hanford High; select Student Store; on left side under Departments; select FFA; select FFA Awards Banquet Dinner and purchase the number of tickets for your son/daughter and family. There will be a site charges a 5.95% convenience fee to purchase tickets online. The evening is sure to be filled with excitement, fellowship, and fun! We are very proud of our students this year and highly encourage you and your family to join us for this annual event. Manditory meeting for all Livestock exhibitors and their parents!!
(03/05/2012)On Wednesday March 14th, Hanford FFA will be holding it's manditory meeting for all students who plan on showing an animal at this year's Kings County Fair. Both the student and at least one parent need to attend this meeting where we will go over fair rules, fast loans, care of animals, etc. It will be held in the Library at Hanford High School at 6:30pm.

BBQs at lunch will be free to members wearing this year's themed FFA t-shirt (teal with surfing cow). For everyone else the cost will be $3 if they would like to eat at the BBQ. All dress up days, lunchtime activities and BBQs are open to all students on campus!

California FFA State Leadership Conference Applications now available!
(01/11/2012)The California FFA State Leadership Conference will be held Saturday, April 21st through Tuesday, April 24th.
There will also be a One Day trip on Monday April 23rd for students who would like attend the conference for one day.
Students who are interested in attending should visit the Forms/Applications section of the website to download an application to attend the conference. Applications for the full conference and the one day conference are due by January 27th with a $35 deposit.

Hanford FFA Annual Fall Awards Ceremony
(11/04/2011)Hanford FFA's Annual Fall Awards Ceremony will begin promptly at 6:30PM in the Stratton L. Tarvin Presentation Center at Hanford High with refreshments to follow. Please be a little early to allow time for parking and seating. The doors will open at 6:00PM. We hope to conclude no later than 8:00PM.

Our next FFA Meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, October 25th at 6:30pm. The meeting will be at Hanford High School in the Cafeteria.
Our activity this month is the Haunted Agriculture Department. Admission into the haunting experience is two non-perishable food items.
There will also be a costume contest with prizes in the areas of Most Original, Scariest, and Most Creative. Costumes must be school appropriate, in dress code and cannot have full face masks.

Hanford FFA Parents Club Meeting
(09/30/2011)The next Hanford FFA Parents Club Meeting will be held on October 25th at 6:30pm (same time as the next Hanford FFA Meeting) at Hanford High School in Room 705 (Mr. Combe's room).
Upcoming parent club events will be discussed as well as a recap of the Parent Club Dinner.

Prepared and Extemp Public Speaking

There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 28th at 3:30pm at Hanford High School in room 603. We will be discussing the contests, topics, and practice schedules.

Relay for Life
(09/17/2011)Donation money for Relay for Life is due Friday, September 30th to you ag teacher!
If you raise $100 or more, you get a free Relay for Life t-shirt and the opportunity to spend the entire time at the Relay for Life event on October 8th-9th.
