The Heyworth FFA Program has had another successful year winning awards at the local, state, and national levels. For the second year in a row, Heyworth has won the Blue and Gold award. The Blue and Gold award is based on a point system that rewards chapters for the active participation and overall success of the chapter. A FFA chapter gets points for everything they participate in from, public speaking contest to an ag expo. Basically, out of the 12 schools in Section 9, Heyworth is the most successful. Heyworth beat Pontiac, second place, by almost 3,000 points. Our chapter participated in 164 activities in 2012.
