Ag Sales CDE
(11/01/2009) On Tuesday, October 27th, the Athens FFA Chapter competed in the Ag Sales CDE at Hartsburg-Emden. more
National FFA Convention
(11/01/2009) During the week of October 21st through the 24th, the Athens FFA Chapter attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. more
Land Use CDE
(10/22/2009) On October 13th, the Athens FFA Chapter participated in the Section 14 Land-Use CDE. Land-use is the contest where members evaluate the texture and structure of different soil samples. more
September Member of the Month
(09/29/2009) The member of the month for September is Hayle Johnson. Hayle is a freshmen at Athens High School and is the daughter of Jenifer Johnson of Athens.
Greenhand Officers
(09/29/2009) At the September meeting, the chapter elected the 2009-2010 Greenhand officers. more
Reporters Workshop
(09/29/2009) The chapter attended two separate reporters workshops this year. The first was hosted by Western Illinois University at Macomb High School and the second was at Lincoln Land Community College (LLCC) in Springfield. more
Horse Judging CDE
(09/20/2009) On Wednesday, September 9th, the Athens FFA Chapter participated in the Section 14 Horse Judging CDE. The contest was hosted by the Pawnee FFA Chapter at the Cascade Ranch in Rochester. At this contest, members judge four different classes of horses based on how they looked, followed commands, and how well they changed their gait. more
Farm Progress Show
(09/20/2009) On Wednesday, September 2, forty-seven members traveled to Decatur for the annual Farm Progress Show. more
Officer Retreat
(08/20/2009) On Monday August 10th, the chapter officer team and advisors met a Xochimilco in Springfield for their annual officer retreat. The officers and advisors stayed the night at the Northfield Inn and continued the retreat the next day. more
