From 09/19/2009 to 09/20/2009 On September 19th, 2009, the Charleston FFA Chapter traveled to Black Hawk College, East Campus, near Kewanee, for the Illinois FFA State Horse Judging Career Development Event (CDE). Four Charleston members participated and all did well. In the non-reasons division, The team placed 19th out of 55 teams. Some of the classes that they judged included reining, western riding, hunt seat, equitation, and halter. The Charleston FFA advisor is Julie Niemerg. The team was trained by Beth Glanzer. The team would like to extent a big thank you to her for spending time preparing them for competition!
