The Cumberland FFA Chapter traveled to Louisville, KY to attend the Farm Machinery Show and tractor pull. We all learned a lot about new technology available for farmers to use and enjoyed watching the tractors pull. I for one yelled so much I couldn't talk for three days. The trip was enjoyed by all and was a blast!
Cumberland FFA attended the Illinois State FFA Convention in Springfiled during June 8-10, 2010. They attended workshops and other events. Click here for more on information about what was done and those attending.
Our annual FFA fruit sales are coming to an end, but we have ordered extra. If any would didn't get the chance to order and would like to purchase either fruit, nuts, jerky, or popcorn you can either stop by the Ag Shop during school hours (8-4) or email Mr. Sappington at csappington@cumberland.k12.il.us. Updates will be posted Thursday morning on what extras will be for sale. And for those of you who have ordered the fruit will be arriving December 10 and will be delivered shortly after
The Land Use CDE team place 2nd at the section 20 competition held at Effingham on Oct 11 2007!
Cumberland members took 9 of the 10 places in the forestry contest to help them win the competition.

With Samantha McClain placing 1st and Paige Holsapple Placing 2nd we were able to place 1st in the whole compition.
