Why did you join FFA?

I joined the FFA as an opportunity. Our school finally got a chapter my sophomore year, and I am now a senior. My family still farmed at the time and I used my Ag classes as an opportunity to learn and become more knowledgeable.

What has been your most challenging FFA experience?

My most challenging FFA experience would have to be the weed identification contest. The weed seeds all mostly look alike and are hard to tell apart. This was by far the contest I have placed the lowest in.

Who has had the greatest impact on your life?

This is a close draw between my friends and family. I've seen a few friends come and go, and a few family members come and go. The person who has had the biggest impact on my life, I would have to say, is my cousin Casey Ballinger. We have been together for our whole lives, and we do everything together.  We both farm, and both work together well. We rarely ever see arguments or tussles, and would literally give the shirts off our backs for eachother. I see him as a best friend more than a cousin, and you don't see that often.

If you had a million dollars, what would you do with it?

If I had a million dollars, I would mostly spend it on myself. First, would be remodeling the farmhouse I live in now.  It would get a complete makeover, as well as a new barn. Second, I would completely restore the truck I am driving, and get everything I want to do to it done. And third, I would completely get my 01 raptor race ready and try to make it into the AMA. Any leftover money would go straight to savings.

Final thought

Like I said, I am seventeen years old. I was once a farmer, and would like to get back into it. I love to hunt, fish, camp, ride, and work on my truck. I am very active and knowledgeable for my age. I cannot wait to get out of school, and start a career.
