State Convention Parent Meeting

If you are attending the New Jersey FFA Convention, you parents must attend a mandatory meeting on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 6:00 PM in the Agriculture Building. If you cannot attend the meeting, please contact Ms. Folino to schedule a meeting.

This meeting will cover the policies for overnight trips and the expectations for student behavior at the convention.

FFA Plant Sale Starts May 1!

The Annual FFA Plant Sale begins May 1! All plants are raised by the Greenhouse Management & Floral Design Course at AHS. All proceeds help with leadership events, travel costs, and competitive events.

The greenhouse will be open 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. We will also be selling at Jersey Fresh at the Horsepark of New Jersey on May 12 & 13, 2012!

2012 Pricing:
  • Bedding and Vegetable Plants (4 & 6 Packs)- $1.00 per pack $10.00 per flat
  • Hanging Baskets (Ivy Geranium and Evolvus) 8"- $10.00, 10"- $12.00
  • 4.5" Geraniums, Coleus, Evolvus, and New Guinea Impatiens- $2.00 Each, 10 for $8.00
  • 4.5" Citronella Geranium, Variegated Geranium, Hyacinth Bean, Moonflower, and Rosemary- $3.00 Each
  • 4.5" Wandering Traveler and Spider Plants- $1.00 Each


New Jersey FFA State Convention

If you received your State FFA Convention Packets, please make sure to get those signed. All packets are due by May 10, 2012.

You must get all of your teachers signatures, parents signature, copy of your insurance card, and the $120.00 fee for State Convention. If you cannot afford the fee, please see Mrs. Emmons, Mr. Cruzan, or Ms. Wurtzel.

Tractor Raffle!

The 2nd Annual Tractor Raffle is now in full swing! This year, the auction will include an Allis Chalmers Model G restored by the Agricultural Mechanics Program at Allentown High School. In addition, New Egypt Agway has some great prizes also available!

Tickets are $10.00 and include a 20% off coupon for New Egypt Agway on the day of the Sale! All proceeds benefit Allentown FFA, Northern Burlington FFA, and the Horse Park of New Jersey! Please see any FFA member or contact us at 609-259-7292 ext 1440 or 1443!
