The Nursery/Landscape team won the State Championship May 5th, 2012 at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. They qualified for the National contest next fall in Indianapolis Indiana.

State FFA Treasurer Jacob Vazquez and his team of State Officers put together an outstanding conference. His retiring address "Enjoy the Journey" was a highlight of the week. For conference highlights go to www.calaged.org Other highlights were:

Jessica with her Dad and Mom during the presentation of the Honorary State FFA Degree ceremony. Jessica's year of service included visiting 33 local chapters, presenting ALA conferences, COLC and ROLC workshops and attending the Utah State FFA Convention. Jessica's retiring address was titled " Living to Serve".

The 2011-2012 Chapter Officers were announced May 24th the the annual parent/member banquet.
The new team is: President - Kayla Nichol, Vice President - Marleigh Ostrom, Secretary - Megan Canavan, Treasurer - Travis Vazquez, Reporter - Jared Tapal, Sentinel - Jesse Robbins.

Jacob Vazquez was elected as the 2011-2012 State FFA Treasurer at the 83rd annual State FFA Leadership Conference April 18th 2011. Jacob will serve the California FFA Association for the next year by visiting local chapters and presenting workshops at leadership conferences throught the next year.


Last April Jessica Vazquez was elected as the 2010-2011 State FFA Reporter. She is currently deferring a year of college for her year of service as she is traveling about 300 days this year. She will visit 35 different high schools across the state teaching their ag classes, as well as present conferences that advocate agriculture and develop leadership skills.
