The Clinton Central FFA and 4-H Meats Judgers traveled to Purdue for the State Meats Judging Contest. The 4-H team of Madigan Strange, Whitney Ridenour, and Mackenzie Padgett placing 3rd as a team with Mackenzie Padgett getting 5th overall. The other 4-H team of Hannah McFauls, Kelly Fox, and Mikaela Reynolds also doing well.
The FFA team of Mindy Boyer, Rachel Stowers, Tyler McFauls, and Chaz Evans got first overall with Chaz Evans placing 1st, Mindy Boyer placing 2nd and Tyler McFauls placing 6th overall. They will be traveling to Indianapolis this fall to compete at the National FFA Convention.

The Clinton Central Livestock Skill-a-thon team competed at the NAILE judging contest on 11-14-11. The team consisting of Tyler McFauls, Wyatt Lucas, Chaz Evans, and Kaleb Rule placed 10th overall as a team. Congratulations to the Clinton Central Skill-a-thon judging team.
On Sept. 24 the Clinton Central Livestock Skill-a-thon teams traveled to Purdue for the State Skill-a-thon contest. The Jr. team of Mackenzie Padgett, Hannah McFauls, Brooke Bishop, and Caitlyn Smith placed 1st as a team with Mackenzie Padgett placing 1st individually and Hannah McFauls placing 5th. The team of Brantly Mosbaugh, Kobi Mosson, Taylor Morris, and Keelend Amos placed 7th with Brantley Mosbaugh placing 10th and Kobi Mosson placing 12th.
The Sr. team of Chaz Evans, Tyler McFauls, Wyatt Lucas, and Kaleb Rule placed 1st as a team and will be traveling to the National Livestock Skill-a-thon contest in Louisville, KY. Team members Tyler McFauls placed 6th and Chaz Evans placed 7th overall. The team of Lane McCoy, Dakoda Stough, and Tyler Willis and the team of Madigan Strange, Megan Ferrel, Roxie Newell, and Carrie Unroe also competed.

Within the next month students will be signing up for classes for next year. A few things to rememeber:
a) you must be in a agriculture class to be in FFA
b) it is highly recommended that you take Ag Bus Mgt to an officer
c) Check out the duel credit classes offered in agriculture.
d) Remember Food Science ALS will count for a science credit.
e) All freshman will take Animal Science
f) All 7th graders are required to take an ag class and the majority of 8th graders will be taking ag.
