Stockman Tabulation

On October 18th 2008 we will be hosting the annual Stockman Livestock Judging Contest. Our chapter has purchased a new program called WinJudge to tabulate the contest.

National FFA Convention

To be able to attend the National FFA Convetion for the whole week you must be invited. This year the livestock team consisting of Brent Dunham, Alyssa Smith, Brant Smith, and Courtney Smith will be representing our chapter in the National FFA Livestock Contest. And the team consisting of Kinzie Selke, Jacob Harden, Bill Schmaltz, and Zac Wilson will be representing our chapter at the National FFA Meats Contest.

We will have a sign up for any HIGH SCHOOL member that sells $100 or more of fruit that may be interested in going to the National FFA Convention on a one day pass.

Students will have to pay 1/2 of the cost.

Ski Trip

To be able to go skiing in mid February middle school students must sell $300 of fruit and pay for all costs.

Howeverfor any reason the ski trip get cancelled we will refund with having some sort of fun day.

SOAR @CC

We host our very own leadership training at our school and invite local chapters. We purchase t-shirts and refreshments are served. We also invite the Indiana State FFA Officers to help run SOAR. In the past we have had over 70 memebers attend. This event takes place in December of each year

The banquet planning committee is in charge of planningthe banquet program, ordering awards, food for dinner, getting a guest speaker, and the set up and clean up of the banquet.

Our chapter hosts a meats invitation the week prior to the State Contest. The contest takes place in the ag shop.

Indiana FFA Work Day at the State Fair

Members will go down to the Indiana State Fair and help set up the FFA pavilion for people to see during the State Fair.

On the last Saturday of August our chapter will be hosting a Soils Invitational. Memebers are in charge of finding a site, finding judges, ordering awards, and clean up and set up.

During District Kickoff Students will meet memebers from their district and learn team building skills as well as meeting there district officer team.

Publicity Committtee

This committee is in charge of updating the website, typing up press realeases for newspapers, and making sure the chapter's camera gets to all events.

Fruit Sales

This past year our chapter sold over $18,000 of fruit. Each member selling $100 get free dues, all junior high members selling over $300 gets to go on a ski trip and the top two freshman/ sophomores get to attend the Washington Leadership Conference for free.

Crossbred Classic

Our chapter hosts the Crossbreed Classic and Elite Show and Sale at the end of the Indiana State Fair. The show will be August 16th and 17th 2008. Last year we had 50 boars and gilts exhibited from over twenty states.

We are in charge of contacting members, ordering shirts, taking pictures, and typing in all entries.

Work Auction

Committee sends letters, gets auctineer and clerk for their annual auction. We send out close to 100 letters of alumni and supporters for this event. Last year we made $8,000 and we would like to thank the supporters of our program.
