Edmond FFA Competes at AFR Speech
(11/14/2012)Nine Edmond FFA members recently competed in the Central District American Farmers & Ranchers Speech Contest in Newcastle, OK. Elizabeth H. and Kalee H. both received first place in their respective divisions, qualifying them for the state finals contest in December. Also qualifying for state were Sophie G. and Summer G., who received second place, as well as Gabby F., receiving 3rd. Alex S. and Abby J. also were recognized with 3rd place in their divisions, while Emily D. and Heather W. placed 4th and 5th, respectively. Congratulations to all participants for representing our chapter well.
Edmond FFA Members Succeed at Tulsa State Fair
(10/17/2012)Edmond FFA was well represented at the Tulsa State Fair.
On October 4th the exhibitors participated at the Broiler chicken show. DeForest H. recieved 4th overall individual.
Chance M. of the Edmond FFA Chapter recently exhibited the 3rd overall Angus heifer at the Tulsa State Fair livestock show. Chance''s heifer was also declared Sr. Division champion. Congratulations to all our exhibitors!
Opening Ceremonies Team Wins P.I. Contest
(10/17/2012)Congratulations to Edmond FFA Blue team for winning 1st place at the Shawnee PI Opening Ceremonies contest. The team members are Kalee H., Lauren L., Kayla M., Shae G., James M., and Brishca W.
Edmond FFA members will represent their P.I. at the State Jr. CDE event in Stillwater on November 5th.

FFA Back to School Kick Off Picnic
(08/21/2012)Every new student and their parents are invited to come to our Back to School Picnic located at our Ag Facility on 300 North Kelly during 6 PM, August 30th. The picnic will be a great opportunity for parents to meet the Ag teachers and for new members to meet other students in our chapter and kick the year off right.
Alumni Camp 2012
(07/22/2012)16 Edmond FFA members participated in Oklahoma FFA Alumni Leadership Camp at Camp Tulakogee in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Alumni Camp allows members to step out of their "comfort zone" and develop their team work and personal leadership skills. Members are placed in small groups and participate in numerous activities and competitions. Highlights of camp include a ropes course, water olympics, motivational speakers and a very entertaining hypnotist show. Edmond members Sophie G., Abby J., and Kalee H. were each selected to the Flag Raising ceremony team and represented our chapter well. Edmond FFA members left camp with a new sense of excitement and motivation for the upcoming year. We are excited to take the lessons and experiences from camp and utilize them within our chapter.
Oklahoma County Spring Livestock Show
