Brookings Places 2nd at Souix Falls Meat Judging Contest

Five of Seven team members placed in the top 20 competitors at the Souix Falls District 5 Meat Judging Contest on October 8th, qualifying the team to advance to the State Contest held on November 15th.  Advisor Quentin Rund said, "The team put in the extra time it takes to do well in a contest like this, and for that I'm proud of them.  I hope we continue to perform and conduct ourselves at a high level."

Chapter Reporter Will Piatt wins Nationwide Award

Will Piatt, Brookings FFA Chapter Reporter, was recognized by the National FFA as 1 of 51 "Outstanding Chapter Reporters" for the 2006-2007 school year.  The award is given to only one reporter from each state (including Puerta Rico), and entitles Will to access to over $10,000 in funding and grant money to use toward bettering his FFA Chapter.  Congratulations Will!
