RUNDE BENEFIT THANKS!

(10/15/2009)

Thank you to everyone who helped in some way with the Runde Benefit.  It was a huge success and it would not have been possible without the help from so many people.  Thanks to those who donated items for the silent auction, large auction, and the meal.  Huge thanks to those who helped with set-up, clean-up, and helping run the benefit.  We were successful in raising money for Justin and Anne's Educational Funds.

RUNDE FAMILY BENEFIT

(10/09/2009)

Mrs. Runde our advisor had a huge trajedy this summer when her husband Brian Runde passed away suddenly.  The Janesville FFA Alumni along with other organizations is planning a benefit for Mrs. Runde and her children.  The Runde Family Benefit is Friday, October 16th at the Rock County Fair Grounds and starts at 5:00pm.

We are still looking for silent and live auction items.  If you have something to donate please send Mrs. Skemp an email at sskemp@janesville.k12.wi.us.  The items can just be brought the night of the benefit, but Mrs. Skemp would like to know what items are going to be donated before the benefit.

There will be a meal, kids games, hay ride, costume contest, 50/50 raffel, live music, silent auction and live auction.  All activities will be by donation.

The costume contest will start at 6pm and anyone wanting to participate and wear a costume to the benefit can.  Each participant of the costume contest will have to try to collect money from people.  The person in a costume with the most money in their Halloween bag will win a prize.  All money will be donated to Runde Benefit.

There will be a giant pumpkin there and people can pay a dollar to guess the weight of the pumpkin.  All money will be donated to Runde Benefit.  The winner will get a prize and then the giant pumpkin will be auctioned off.

People should bring an already carved pumpkin, painted pumpkin, or decorated pumpkin for the pumpkin  contest.  We will have a small amount of pumpkins that can be carved or decorated at the benefit.  People will put money into the pumpkin they want to win and the winning pumpkin will get a prize.  All money will be donated to Runde Benefit.  There will also be a small supply of pumpkins at the benefit that can be decorated or carved.

We hope to raise money for the Runde educational fund for Justin adn Anne and to also raise money for unexpected expences that may arise in the future.

Please come and join us!
